Review on Gazzal Cotton Total Worsted Turkish by Summer Hendricks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good yarn but lots of connections per skein, conflicting needle and hook sizes listed

I must have gotten a skein of them from the scrap because the one skein I've used so far had several connecting knots, some of which were very obvious and showed up at the end of my project. (Baby cap). The recommended needle and hook sizes in the online description do not match the recommended sizes on the label. However, I used the size advertised on the web (3.5mm hook) and was happy with the result. The yarn is very soft, the gray at least matches the color (haven't tried other colors yet). Overall the yarn seems to be of good quality but I am disappointed that the skein I received was obviously - and not very neatly - knitted. If the other two strands that arrived turn out to be better, I might consider buying again. Update: The other two strands were much better, with fewer joints. From three balls I was able to make a pair of children's socks, a children's cardigan and a children's hat, which I made from the first ball.

Pros
  • EASY TO WORK WITH: Cotton is a soft fiber that grows around cotton seeds. Cool, soft and comfortable, cotton is currently the most used fiber in the world.
Cons
