I like the size of this pan. You can easily cook half a kilo of bacon on it. Easy to clean. But the surface scratches easily. updated 1.19.19. Over time, the pan gets harder to clean, but still pretty easy considering I cook the bacon almost to the point of burning. But it's still the easiest (and quickest) way to cook 1-2 pounds of bacon at a time. Note on hot fat around the edges: I turn off the oven just before cooking the bacon. I use silicone-tipped tongs (required) to remove the bacon from the pan while it's still in the oven. I leave the pan in the oven until cool enough (but before the fat has set). Then removing and pouring out the fat becomes a breeze. To clean while the pan is still warm, I use Dawn Platinum Fat Cutter liquid dish soap and a damp sponge to spread the soap over the entire surface. I leave it for about 10 minutes. This breaks up burnt food in the pan and makes cleaning much easier.
