These are great mountain bike shoes for the casual rider who wants Five Ten soles with a casual shoe style and feel. I originally bought the Five Ten Freeriders but thought they looked and felt like I was wearing boots. I have them and can say they have the same grip but look and feel like regular shoes. For casual riders this is great, for more serious riders you may need Freeriders for extra durability and protection. Although looks aren't everything, they look very good. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are not real leather. Although they look and feel like leather, they don't breathe or shrink like regular shoes. Mine are quite comfortable but are a little tight in places which wouldn't be a problem in leather shoes but in these they don't stretch and don't fit my feet.
