As other reviewers have noted, when we saw a pediatric orthopedist for my 10-year-old daughter and he saw these in her shoes, he was surprised by them - commented about how good they were and asked where we got them. I research products a lot online before choosing what to buy and these were the sturdiest I found with great reviews. My daughter's feet/ankles roll in, which I think really contributed along with unsupportive shoes to a stress reaction that ended up causing severe pain for months and her having to spend time on crutches, in a walking boot, and in physical therapy. I found these for her and bought sturdy New Balance shoes to insert them into (they fit perfectly inside) and she is doing well with the combination. I'll continue to have her wear both and will get more inserts if/as needed.
