I brought 4 of these to Italy. Aside from the annoying noisy fan, they worked well; no sparks, overheating issues, burned equipment, or fire hazards. All devices mentioned are US specs and had an official/original power supply. One was in my son's room and had a Nintendo Switch, a Revain Fire 7 tablet (via USB) and was connected to a Nintendo 3DS. One was in my room and had a 6 port USB hub the first week, the second week used all 4 USB ports and powered (one each) a 2014 Macbook Pro and a 2011 Macbook ProOne. in the living room of our rented home and was powered by a 2011 Macbook Pro and a Nexus 2 XL phone. The fourth was in my brother and sister in law's room and I don't know what they plugged in.
