Worked really well on a recent trip to India. Electricity is provided to charge your laptop, phone and camera. Large selection of adapters included. The only complaint is that I would like the adapters to be labeled (Type M, Type C, etc.). Nothing else to worry about - it works as advertised. I've seen some other reviews saying it didn't last long, will update if there are any issues.

My wife and I traveled with two phones, a laptop, two e-books, an electric toothbrush and an electric razor. All can be connected to this converter at the same time. I was hesitant to buy it because some reviewers complained about noise or heat build-up. We didn't have such problems. The audio was mainly a low, white noise from the device's fan.

I was nervous about buying it based on some previous negative reviews but it worked very well for us during a recent 3 week tour of Africa where there was a lot of emphasis on diversity out of 240 -Volt sockets. Batteries for cameras, phones and iPads. No problem and I suspect some of those negative reviewers didn't heed the warning not to use them with devices like hair dryers etc which could draw too much current and short out the converter.

This device has worked really well on the go and made it very easy to charge multiple devices. Different plugs are plugged into each other to save space. The problem is that they are noisy. If you are sensitive to noise, you need to put it in a separate room at night, and then you can't use your phone as an alarm clock easily. It has a fan that moves and makes noise. Why does he need a fan? I didn't seem to get hot. I would look elsewhere.

Overall a great product. Used it every day on a 10 day trip to Ireland to charge cellphone and camera batteries and smaller gadgets. The extension works well and you can use the detachable wall plug directly on devices/battery compatible with 230V/50Hz. My only complaint is that the device's fan is a bit noisy, especially when placed on a hard desk that's at ear level in bed. While it's not unbearable, it's definitely noticeable, especially if you have to keep the device close to you overnight.

I brought 4 of these to Italy. Aside from the annoying noisy fan, they worked well; no sparks, overheating issues, burned equipment, or fire hazards. Worked in India as promised but did not stay in the outlet. It may be the socket itself, but in three different hotels it didn't fit properly. Book to stay plugged in. Luckily, there's a green light to alert you when it's charging or not, and a power button. So by monitoring this light you can be sure it is charging.
