This is the second Trans-Dapt throttle body gasket I've installed. Both times the spacers have done exactly what Trans-Dapt says they do. I installed this on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 5.3 V8. Before installation, I didn't feel any noticeable jump in torque up to over 4000 rpm. Now the torque shoots up from around 3300 rpm and increases from there. Since installing it, my box hasn't downshifted as often either. Increasing the torque doesn't require a lower gear as much. I haven't dyno tested it, but the fit of the pants tells me there's a noticeable increase in both torque and horsepower. The packaging says you can increase the power in less than an hour. It's pretty accurate. I had to cut the plastic fan shroud to create the necessary clearance. Also, a coolant line comes from the underside of the throttle body, which gave me a bit of trouble during installation. Additionally, the instructions were crystal clear and easy to follow. I have yet to fill up a full tank to determine the mileage increase, but from the past the seal also gives a noticeable jump in mileage. All in all, it's a simple bolt-on that pays for itself.
