These stainless steel pans have a very unique look. The lid is absolutely flat. They are a clear glass lid that keeps you from burning your food and allows you to see the food without letting off all the heat and steam. The lid also has a steam vent and the two handles with leash are made from heat resistant silicone and are very easy to grab and hold while I drain the noodles. I decided to test the drain by making thin spaghetti noodles. I was very impressed that I never lost a single noodle from the pot when draining the water. The lid is designed to simply slide sideways from a tight fit to a small hole to allow water to drain. If silicone pot handles and silicone lid handles overlap when draining water or cooking something that requires a small opening, you can leave the handles as they are. Well one of the things I love about these pots is how the lid handle is designed to fall into the pot handles and the lid stays in the air so you can use both hands for whatever you need. This is great for me because I love to cook and add spices and herbs to it. The set includes 3 frying pans in different sizes and 3 lids. This saves a lot of space as all the pans can be stacked on top of each other. These pans are heavy, they aren't as light as some of the cheaper pans and they aren't as heavy as my enamel pans.
