Review on 🌀 Spiral Drill Spring (SE 849PDS): Improve Drilling Efficiency with Exceptional Performance by Peter Tennant

I had one of these years ago but I've borrowed it or lost it. This new purchase looked identical but upon receipt I found it to be of very poor quality with a helical turning knob wedged haphazardly along the shaft. It even jammed halfway to the stock a couple of times, despite the spring return. Adding some lube didn't help at all, and I found the device virtually useless unless you're using it on a stationary vise. Supplied with a plastic storage box marked 'India'. Not worth sending back for credit, although I could cut off the head and put it in a small drill to use as a micro-drill head. Looking at other reviews it seems that the reseller gets them and sells whatever they get without checking if they are good. Some work well and some just suck. The seller doesn't seem to care.
