Peeling Paint: Coil Springs

No problem with delivery. However, the feathers arrived with a lot of chipping and floated in a "factory shipping box" (not a Revain, but a real MOOG box). They weren't meant for a show car, but I didn't want them to rust, so I decided to paint them. again. When I tried to prep them for painting I noticed MOST of the original paint peeled off very easily as if it hadn't been well prepped at the factory. If you stuck them on the car without repainting, they will soon rust and there may be problems in a few years if you live in a salt belt. No installation issues, correct factory kinks on both ends, and a much better spring rate than my worn-out original spring. The car sits straight and backwards at factory level. I have a slightly stiffer feel on the driver's side than the gear side, but this may be due to the direction of spring coil or a slight side-to-side difference in the struts. Pages. I assume it will eventually calm down evenly. In any case, the suspension is back to OEM standard.
