This tool saved a do-it-yourself toilet installation project that was on the brink of disaster. The initial work matched the beam in the adjoining room 100%. The elbow broke as the flange splintered, and using a heat gun on the nearest visible fitting deformed it so the new pipe would not seal. If this tool didn't work, I would open up the kitchen ceiling to access a section of pipe that could be cut and extended. It has been incredibly successful to put this long tool in a 1/2 inch chuck with a drill bit strong enough to drive it and get it between the joists and reach the fitting to be drilled. I think in most cases you won't be so lucky in a tight space. Some ability to adjust the length of the tool or the position of the knife relative to the guide will help. The cutting edge is therefore completely blunt in design. You need more power than you would with a hand drive, e.g. B. a wrench on the shaft can reach. Anyway, I've had luck with less than an 1/8" fit, and I hope you are too! I'll take other sizes to have on hand in the future.
