I've only been using this a little over a week ago, so far no signs of the aptasia returning. A few things though: 1. This aptasia grew between some zoanthids. It wasn't just in itself. It was slightly larger than my zoanthids but with much longer tentacles.2. I used an elbow. Once inside one of the Aptasia's tentacles, I inserted about a quarter of the syringe to make sure it covered the Aptasia's mouth. I then covered it some more and then released the rest into the surrounding space with the rest of the syringe. I looked like a snowdrift where the aptasia had been.3. Because the Aptasia was on a sloping part of the rock, part of the Aptasia x seeped down and into the mouths of the zoanthids, and when I covered that area some of the zoanthids were covered with the substance for at least 30 minutes. You're dead, no doubt. I think about 6-8 died but they were small and I still had plenty of zooanthids left. Some of the stuff got on one of my mushroom corals and left what I can only describe as a trace of irritation (it looked like it had a chemical burn), but the next day everything was perfectly normal. Other corals were not harmed. Some of my fish tried to eat this material but immediately spat it out. No deaths.
