MPG Gain and Nice Standard Exhaust Sound

I installed it on my 2010 CTS 3.6 Performance and while I can't confirm the HP Gain I can tell you that my MPG went from 23.5 to 25.8 is measured over several 60 miles. Travel. The stock exhaust also has a nice soft raspy sound that wasn't there before when accelerating. I assume the horsepower gain on the K&N torque sheet is pretty accurate. There are a couple of issues. The air intake pipe runs over the hot water return hose, which runs from the top of the engine through the engine compartment to the right side of the cross-flow cooler. I wrapped the water hose and the middle metal part of the air pipe with a K&N "exhaust wrap": I'm not sure how K&N can solve this problem as there is simply not enough room because the K&N is lower in the engine bay than a normal air intake pipe. A stabilizer bar bracket bolted to the radiator bracket contacts the transmission cooling line with the radiator. I put a piece of exhaust foil between them... Metal on metal is not a long-term perspective. I can do it myself, but the existing mount is barely enough. Alternatively, there may be another anchoring point, or you can drill an attachment point in the fender under the K&N heat shield. The heat shield doesn't quite fit. I don't know if this is because the internals of the CTS case vary in production because they are not visible, or because the heat shield is used in different applications. No big gaps but attaching the heat reflective tape solves the problem.
