Very easy to install. We have a new wood paneled steel fire door that we cannot drill through. We first attached the flat part to the steel door and then attached the ball part to it with a magnet. I pulled off the adhesive protective film on the ball part, opened the door, combined it with another door and glued it. Carefully connect and separate the pieces where they are magnetic so one doesn't tear the other off the door and press both pieces firmly against each door. Leave for about 30 minutes and test. Works fantastic, not annoying (now have to remove the old ugly door frame).
