I've used Shimano PD-EH500 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FTB9MCW/) reversible pedals a few times now on my CX bike. They are 100% awesome so I was hoping to put something like this on my Trek Marlin. I've had mediocre to bad experiences with other manufacturers' pedals in the past, so I didn't know what to expect from these GEWAGE pedals. Installation was easy, although slightly different from other pedals I've used before. You actually tighten them with a hex bolt, not a wrench. However, it's okay. They just left. The biggest problem I have with pedals from other manufacturers is clipping. A lot of them don't turn on and off as easily as my Shimano pedals. This is of course the first thing I tested with these GEWAGE pedals. I wouldn't say it's *quite* as smooth as my Shimano pedals, but I'd still rate it as good enough. 95% of the time I was able to connect without much effort. And if I adjust the tension, I can even improve it. Each pedal weighed 192.7 grams. Respectable. For pedals that cost about half as much as a Shimano PD-EH500 but offer almost the same value, I'm very happy!
