Review on Calm Ventures by Regina M_va

Good time to you. I decided to share with you about a technology and brand-focused venture capital and capital growth firm. This is a fairly new firm. The company is called Calm Ventures and is based in New York / Los Angeles. The founder of this company is Zachary Ginsburg. He has invested and advised media, consumer and technology companies over the past 8 years. He (himself) has invested over 100 startups. Finally, in 2020, he decided to form the Calm Ventures syndicate to invest in new brands and cutting-edge technology companies.



Calm Ventures focuses primarily on companies that help people perform better and achieve the results they want in our future. Also note that Calm Ventures operates through a private syndicate called AngelList. To date, this firm has made 2 investments. There is not much information on their website about their activities, but I can say that at least they use 12 technologies for their website, some of which are SPF, IPhone / Mobile Compatible and Viewport Meta. Also, generally speaking, I did not like the design of the Calm Ventures site , it is boring, and does not interest us to go there.



When you open their website, you will immediately be able to see their portfolio, which includes more 40 different companies. I would like to highlight some of them Elysium Health, CookUnity, Bear Flag Robotics, Orbital Insight, BitClout, Fetch, Thrive Market, AdQuick, Carbon, Boost Insurance, Yotta Savings, Wild Things Snacks, Excision BioTherapeutics and many others. That is, Calm Ventures has invested in over 60 companies, including the ones I have already listed. So lets I write you about some activities of these company, for instance, Headspace is connected to a meditation management app, Excision BioTherapeutics is a platform that focuses on gene therapy CRISPR, Bear Flag Robotics is based on autonomous farming technology. Calm Ventures operates through three channels. First, through warm and cold outreach. Do you know what this means? Cold outreach is when the outreach numbers are huge, but the likes per post are nowhere lower. That is a reason, the post ends up in the feed, but people are not interested in it and therefore do not read it. Well, warm coverage, I think you get the idea. Second, through startups, founders, executives, portfolio co-authors and partners. And third, of course, through venture capitalists and institutions.
