Review on πŸ”₯ Optimized Carbon Metallic Brake Pads by Performance Friction Corporation 756.20 by Greg Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great pads, great price, but my wheels got unusually dirty.

I selected these Performance Friction Carbon Metal Pads (front and rear) for my 2002 Ford Excursion 4X4 with a 7.3 liter Powerstroke Diesel engine. I love how these pads brake and they seem to handle the extreme demands of such a heavy vehicle very well. I am confident in these Performance Friction pads knowing they will provide reliable braking and protect more than 9 members of my family. My only complaint is that they generate an unusual amount of dust, especially around the front wheel/rim. It's noticeably dustier than my previous pads, probably Motorcraft branded. I wanted to use ceramic pads but felt that carbon metal was better and ceramic was too soft. So I chose Carbon Metallic from Performance Friction. My other Excursion (with 2WD) has Servere Duty Pads (front and rear) from Napa, they brake very well. They don't make my wheels as dirty as carbon metallic, I think they're semi-metallic pads. We'll see how they compare as both sets were installed months apart. I hope this review was helpful to you.
