Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ AMIR Indoor Outdoor Thermometer with 3 Wireless Sensors and LCD Backlight: A Reliable Temperature Humidity Monitor for Home, Office, and Baby Room by Andrew Krishna

Very unprecise! Miniature Screen

I purchased this AMIR three sensor temperature and humidity monitor to measure outdoor conditions for my dog. They have a porch, a garage, and a doghouse to hide from the Texan weather. I needed a way to get the actual temperature and humidity so I knew when it was time to bring it in. I read a little instruction manual that said the gauges should be hung on the north side of the structure under an eaves or eaves as water can damage them. Please note that the tiny nails or screws required for installation are not included. Not 8 AA batteries. The manual says the receiver will last 12 months if logging one meter, so a set of batteries can last about 4 months if monitoring three stations. You sync the devices by first installing the batteries in the meters and then in the base. . If that fails there is a channel button you can hold for 3 seconds to force the base to seek and sync, which worked for me. I read some reviews that said the thermometers were inaccurate, so I started an indoor test by just leaving the sensors next to each other on the kitchen counter. My thermostat read 73 and three gauges read 80, 85 and 75 respectively. That's a huge difference! I figured it might be an accident, so I hung them all on the north side of the house, under a canopy, away from the sun. Again they were all next to each other and should have read the same temperature but they read 101, 96 and 104. The actual temp was 97 according to my other thermometer that I know works. Regardless of the actual temperature, an 8 degree deviation just isn't enough. Unless you're put off by a thermometer that doesn't accurately measure temperature, you might be put off by a screen. He's tiny. It has a stand so it can stand on your desk. At least it doesn't take up much space. It has a nail hanger on the back, but if you hang it on the wall more than a few feet away I don't think you can see it. Overall I found no benefit in this product and sent it back for a refund. I will look elsewhere. 0/5 stars
