The system seems to work fine the way I set it up. I have a sensor located in an unheated, enclosed porch about 20 feet from the display; the second sensor is one floor above the display unit, also about 20 feet away; and a third sensor located outside under a canopy on the second floor about 25 feet from the display unit.
