Just received this and it was well packaged. It came with a coupon code that will give me 30% off my next order, and signing up on their website offers additional special offers, which is pretty nice. The light looks good and feels like it's well done, and the room I'm in is quite bright (it's midday, clear skies in Florida, and my blinds are open on 3 large windows). Even in a sun-drenched room, it illuminated a wall about 15 feet away and worked very well at arm's length. I bought it for proximity lighting which is usually associated with camping so I think it will be very good in that area. I have a 3 day 2 night hike planned for next week and hopefully it will rain so I can appreciate it in the real world. I'll post an update and let you know how it goes. Overall I'm impressed with the value for money when I first unboxed it, so I'm rating it 4 stars for now and will rate it again in my future update. If it works the way I expect I will take advantage of this discount and order more. UPDATE: I've been using it every night since I got it. It's great for walking with Scooby and also great for a 2 day hike. The range is good for camp, but it won't clear up what's making those noises beyond the tree line. Was there a bear? Big Foot? some creepy guy like that uncle that every family has but doesn't want to talk about? I'll never know, but that's part of the fun of camping! =) I got caught in pretty heavy rain while using it and it didn't miss a beat. Very pleased with how light and comfortable it is. This is way better than messing around with a flashlight. Scooby loves it. Wearing it makes him think he's the coolest dog on the block, which of course he is. Watching him run around the backyard in it was worth every penny. EDIT 9-13: The photo of Scooby sitting by the fire was taken after Hurricane Irma. These lights worked so well that they provided enough power for Scooby to play his late-night games. Read my comments below to learn more about how great Foxelli products are. I can't give a better review than I already have but let my repeat orders be a testament to this excellent company.
