Easy to use compact retro emergency weather station

This handy little emergency radio is a must have for campers, campers, campers and vacationers because of its purpose and use. Its small size (see images) doesn't take up much valuable storage space, but large buttons and a large LCD display make it easy to use and easy to read. Very few instructions are required, the controls are simple and intuitive. Requires 3 easy to replace AAA batteries (not included), this device will likely last for several weeks depending on usage and volume. A handy belt clip keeps it close to you or your backpack, although it's small enough to fit in your pocket. However, I am concerned about the water resistance and accidentally getting it wet. I was able to quickly access my local NOAA station and hear the weather report, as well as browse all of my favorite AM/FM stations with acceptable reception through the telescoping antenna. Some nice extras worth noting are: A sleep timer with 15-minute intervals up to 90 minutes prevents battery drain; a manual lock feature that prevents tampering or accidental changes to the station you're listening to; automatic memory function that saves your last tuned station even when the device is switched off or in standby mode; and a headphone jack (in case you still have a pair of plug-in headphones not included) for private listening (no Bluetooth here); and finally a loud SOS siren in case of emergency. As a basic function, a reliable emergency weather radio that is small but easy to use, operate and read, this old fashioned simple battery powered device makes a great throwback. Its structured body gives you support and it even stands upright on flat surfaces. My only issue with the device was that I couldn't set the clock despite following the instructions. It would be helpful if this weather radio came with rechargeable batteries, a pair of headphones, a hand-powered dynamo, a solar panel option for charging, and a guarantee of at least minimal sweat and water protection. I would recommend this device for beginners in emergency preparedness or the elderly for its simplicity, basic functions, small size and ease of use.
