I needed a durable, water-resistant, warm coat for my active 2nd grader son. It fits the bill! He loves the super soft fleece lining, thumbhole cuffs and oversized hood, while I love the bright color (ours is orange/black) and the internal waist belt that can protect the lower part of the jacket from gusts of wind. It was smaller than expected - we had to order a 10/12 when it was a size 8 in other coats. 10/12 is big, but not too big - we *can* get 2 years off it.
