I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old who can now take their own banana and open it safely when they need a snack. They keep asking for food and I have tried to encourage them to eat more fruit. The problem was that they were too young to peel their bananas without completely disfiguring them. You're also too young to trust knives, so I thought it might be worth a try. They find this gadget funny and make them feel like big boys peeling their own bananas. I like it when they ask me for food, I can just send them for bananas. It's a win-win situation!
