No, the name says it all, it's a polishing paste, it's not intended for sharpening, it's me who polishes your edges and cleans the edges of your tools such as knives and woodworking tools. First I get five stars for the product and/or the company for the speed of delivery. I gave them five stars for the ease of use of the product. I gave them three stars for the way they package my item for shipping to me which is actually two stars but I give them extra for being good. Overall the product works flawlessly and is good for what it was originally designed for which is polishing. Anyway, I've had good experiences when you want to polish stainless steel and don't have a lot of money to spend on other products. I recommend this one. I also recommend buying a genuine cowhide leather strap. Leather straps or strips containing many of these.
