Works as a one-way check valve
I've been looking everywhere for a mushroom check valve that goes to the carpet cleaning solution tank. The mushroom valve prevents solution leakage and allows air to pass through. It has been damaged and there is simply no replacement for it. I decided to give it a try, drilled a slightly larger hole to fit, some caulk around the valve and it works like a champ. Allows air to enter the machine but will not escape if tipped over.
