Used in a pump operated drain line for garage dehumidifiers. Required to route the drain hose over the unit, along the ceiling and to another wall. This prevented the backflow from starting the pump. Works perfectly.

I've been looking everywhere for a mushroom check valve that goes to the carpet cleaning solution tank. The mushroom valve prevents solution leakage and allows air to pass through. It has been damaged and there is simply no replacement for it. I decided to give it a try, drilled a slightly larger hole to fit, some caulk around the valve and it works like a champ. Allows air to enter the machine but will not escape if tipped over.

I searched and searched for check valves that fit the 1/4 inch air line and tried a few but found they were a millimeter smaller and not tight in the line. I bought these to use on a standard aquarium air pump and they really fit perfectly and work really well. My pump is in the basement and has a 1/4 inch air line that runs through my floor and the warm air from the pump going through the air line in the air conditioned bedroom causes condensation to flow back to the pump.
