This is my first NAS. Made the AS1102T "take a dip in the water". Performing a simple RAID1 or 0 when combining both drives into one large x2 6TB Ironwolf drive. There is a total of 10 GB+ available, which should be sufficient. Expected installation and startup is "difficult" - FALSE. It's so simple, even a green reptile or its prehistoric bipeds can do it. For this price (entry price) I wasn't expecting the set screws to line up perfectly, ALL 8 - no tools, mind you. I was able to quickly boot up their connection center, which directed me to another app (ADM) that I could use to quickly set up the NAS. The interface is simple and I was able to quickly set up logins and individual folders for each family member. Right now I'm transferring around 200GB of video (30+ large files) at a consistent 100MB/s. I don't have a 2.5GB switch yet, so I can't verify that. It took a few hours to connect -- it took less than 30 minutes, and most of the time I was typing to set up family accounts. PERFECT EXPERIENCE! When the time comes, I will definitely switch to Asustor Premium NAS.
