Taking to heart what many reviewers have said, I soaked my tablecloth in the tub first and then put it in the dryer to remove excess lint. So when I actually washed it on the gentle cycle according to the washing instructions, I didn't have any issues with the extra lint in my washing machine. Hooray! I also used fabric softener and ironed it - it came out really nice and soft. And according to other reviews, I was prepared for it to shrink a bit, which it did, about 3 inches. I'd say the color is more like forest green - it's described as 'olive' which is what I was hoping for. be closer to the color of an avocado. However, overall I am happy with my purchase.
