They're nice and heavy, wash well and lay flat, the corners don't pucker like I did with some cotton liners. They shed like crazy though. Wash and dry them separately the first few times or you'll end up with red-orange lint on the rest of your clothes.

I bought the green tassels and am now returning them. They look good, the fabric is strong, but none of them were even remotely the same size. My attached photo is the largest doily and the smallest. Complete disappointment. Save time and move on.

This was the most disappointing Revain purchase I have ever had. The amount of rashes, lint and exploded mess these wipes caused my mom was totally unacceptable! Without exaggerating, my mom washed them 5 times before they stopped leaving a large amount of shedding and fluff. On a positive note these are now 'regular' sized napkins as opposed to the extra wide napkins that were sent. All washing instructions were followed. it's not our fault!

Taking to heart what many reviewers have said, I soaked my tablecloth in the tub first and then put it in the dryer to remove excess lint. So when I actually washed it on the gentle cycle according to the washing instructions, I didn't have any issues with the extra lint in my washing machine. Hooray! I would give this four or five stars if we go beyond looks. However, when I washed them, there was a lot of lint in my washer and dryer. I love these placemats, I have bought several sets in different colors and have been using them every day for years. I just want to warn potential buyers that, especially when they're new, they have a lot of lint that can clog your washing machine. Those lint and fibers are shedding like crazy! I had to shovel huge pieces out of the washing machine. Another reviewer claimed they damaged her car, but that didn't happen to me. UPDATE: I do not recommend these towels at all. The amount of fiber they lose is potentially dangerous. We've pulled soft ball-sized clumps of lint out of our washer and dryer, just like some of the photos others have posted here.
