BooBooLoon (small) for dachshund/doxy

Gilder is my dachshund who in his free time likes to chew his paws, tail etc. out of fear when I'm not at home. or even as a boredom factor while sleeping. Baths every week with mild soap so as not to irritate his skin (every week because other dogs in the area where I live have nasty fleas that would tear him up otherwise). It's almost like a game to see when mom sees a new bald head/scab. In general, it did what I bought it for. Didn't let him chew when I was busy cleaning, playing, or sleeping. But damn, he's a smart pup. Very quickly he realized that it was velcro and that you can squeeze between mom and dad at night and it will come off. Or, when I'm sleeping, he flops onto my pillow, tucks the part next to his chest under him, and then flaps his paws forward to release the Velcro. Sometimes he doesn't use his paws and just starts rolling around like crazy. (Looking back while writing this, all I could hear was the velcro crackling and he buried his face in my pillow in a puffy gesture.) One thing I worry about is when I try to wrap my finger with this one Velcro to slide under the collar. d with the last two points it seems very tight. And there is a set of 4 points in the bottom half. I have a feeling that a point will be too loose and if it flops it will come loose. He's not a big dog, maybe 13 pounds soaked. and BooBooLoon does not fully inflate. All in all, for not having to overpay and not have to wait long, this is a wonderful item. If I can't take my eyes off him or my partner, it prevents him from chewing himself. among other things.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Endlessly slow
