I once tried to make my own inlet hoses by purchasing fittings and hoses from Home Depot. They fit great, but after a few weeks, there was an odd smell in my garage, which turned out to be gasoline-dissolving plastic hardware. I had to throw them all away. When I bought a new gas canister I bought this inlet hose. Same result as Home Depot products. A few weeks later I smelled the same way. After installing it on a canister for about 6 weeks, the hose fell off when I lifted the gas cylinder without even touching it. Gasoline damaged the plastic fitting and it broke. This was not the case with other brands using the right type of fittings.
