I normally use regular Plackers floss but decided to try this charcoal floss to see if it worked better than ordinary. I've seen a lot of products that use activated charcoal lately; like toothpaste, toothbrush heads and now this dental floss. After using them for a week I can't tell any difference. Also, they should have a fresh mint flavor, but the flavor is so subtle I really can't tell. I plan on going back to regular floss after I'm done as I don't think it's worth the price difference (about 1.5x the price of regular Plackers floss at the time of writing this review). I think activated charcoal is mostly just a marketing ploy to justify the higher price of the product. I believe this is certainly true with these flosses, although I intend to stick with the Plackers brand in the future.
