This is a replacement for our old "scissors" with teeth that no longer work. I decided to buy it despite the price (yes, a bit pricey) and some unflattering reviews. We're having a lot of fun (we appreciate the little joys during a pandemic!), and it's working well. Results vary: sometimes only the top shell comes off, sometimes that top part contains some egg, and sometimes it doesn't cut deep enough into the shell and needs a bit more indentation. sometimes on soft-boiled (almost 5 minutes) large eggs from grass-fed chickens.
