Before to that, I had used TP-Link routers for more than ten years, and I found that they were perfect for me in every way. This router was a bigger letdown than it was a favorite. When using channels above 100, the router performs in a "incorrect" manner; either the connection speed is drastically reduced, or the laptop is unable to detect the 5 GHz network at all. At the same time, the operator's laptop has excellent functionality on these channels while connected to the router. There is a good chance that in the not-too-distant future, minor bottlenecks will be cleared up by updating the firmware. If that's the case, I'll have to hunt for another option.
