The ones I have are defective, I hope they don't work for what I usually use gloves for. The part on the arm contracts when near heat, like the plastic is melting and shrinking. You can feel warm, great time. I've used gloves on my wood stove for years. I've never had gloves that react to heat like this. I can only give 1 star because I can't use them for the purpose I buy leather gloves for and I don't burn myself. I'm in my sophomore year and although my fingers are strained I haven't suffered any burns and am holding out. I am changing my assessment now that I have these long gloves.
