I used this to find cat pee after my cat peed outside the box. This flashlight is amazing. I’ve used black lights in the past that didn’t show any cat pee at all (and I previously had a 19 year old with dementia and arthritis and kidney disease who had known pee spots). Perhaps those were the wrong wavelength.Anyway, this is great. It’s bright enough that I don’t need to use it in complete darkness, although that helps and the room should be at least semi-dark. Cat pee (and human pee- shine it at the toilet for fun!) shows up as yellow. I charged it once and have used it a few times briefly on that single charge. The battery hasn’t run out yet, but I’m sure you could replace it with a higher quality version and get better life.
