They work as expected with a multipurpose platform. There are two pieces in the pack. You put down the multiplatform, then one of these parts, then the embossing folder or stamp. Place paper (or whatever material you cut/emboss) on top and complete the "sandwich" by adding a second piece of solid acrylic. Run everything through your car and voila! You end up with beautifully cut (or embossed) paper. It's very easy! I would highly recommend these cutting boards - trying to use two pieces of regular acrylic doesn't really work as it's difficult to get the same thickness of these boards. Plus, it's cheaper than trying to build your own, making them an essential part of hand stamping. Rabe delivered quickly. I am happy about my purchase. 🙂
