Inexpensive accessory that should be included as standard

This lockout switch is a very expensive accessory for AMP Research Power Steps. It's basically a standard rocker switch, three pieces of 18 gauge wire, three butt connectors, and a plug that connects that wire to the control box that comes with the Power Steps. I reckon I could find the equivalent for less than $10. The control box is already made and built to use this switch, and given the cost of the Power Step kit (it was $1,500 on my truck) it makes sense to me to include this $10 lockout feature in the standard package . This also eliminates the need to run a second set of wiring parallel to the already existing wiring to power the steps as the factory wiring harness can contain all of these wires in one bundle. That lock switch works, but it's annoying that AMP Research is charging so much for features that are already part of the control box that comes with the Power Step kit.
