Review on Dorman 258 507 Engine Air Filter by Jerry Mills

I bought this to replace the factory product. Unfortunately for those who work with these cars (I have a 2011 Chrylser 200, most likely a Dodge Avenger from the same era and maybe even a Sebrings) it is well known that removing the air filter is easy but putting it back is tricky. I've done it myself a few times but figured it must be just me. Unfortunately, this also seems to happen to people who change my oil. I've had them change the filter several times now and unfortunately I'm not sure which workshop broke the front clasp and both of course deny it. So I heard this buzzing noise while driving my 4 year old car on the interstate and it sounds like the vibration of a musical instrument because someone isn't playing well. This was when I accelerated. I thought there might be something stuck in the intake manifold so I checked and found the cap was broken allowing air to be sucked in through the gasket as the car needs air to perform. I ordered this, commented that it was a great price and ventured under the hood again to have it repaired. It's the same design as the factory design, so it fits well too. But it was a great price compared to the factory, durable and maybe a little more flexible than the factory which made it easier to put on. In any case, it fits like it came from the factory with no problems.
