Original parts are always good. A car company doesn't put bad filters in their cars. I wouldn't be in their interest. Many other oil filters have a bad reputation. Fram oil filters were considered the best until they were bought back. I've only driven Ford products for the last 40 years and have used most brands of oil filters and all used oils are about the same. I change the oil every 2500 km. Forget what everyone is offering. I have never used synthetic oil and have driven my cars and trucks 300 miles. I make the changes myself and save $30-$40 each time. Easy to change and takes less than half an hour. Motorcraft is not expensive When it comes to car parts, there are many different quality parts. In my opinion, Napa is better than all the other parts. Again, I don't buy many parts here. After driving 4 Lincoln Towns, 3 Crown Victorias, and 3 Ford F250s and 1 F 350, all 4x4s, I've spent less than $3,000 on parts and repairs, including a $300 tranny restoration my friend did . I replaced the air conditioning compressor, can and dryer and then asked him to charge them back and it only cost me $485. It took me 45 minutes to install the parts in the driveway. If you need new AC lines, take them to a hose shop. You install new hoses on your old fittings for a fraction of the cost of new. My kids drove another 120 miles in my old cars with almost no repairs. Ford parts are inexpensive compared to other foreign brands. I grew up in Detroit and my mother worked for Ford in the early 1930's. She's the new Henry Ford. She was very ill and was in the hospital for a while, and when she got back to work, Mr. Ford sent his limousine and driver to take her to the doctor if she had to go. My uncle was the Union leader in the early days and drove around in a bulletproof limousine. I worked for GM in the experimental department in the late '60s. Smallpox on GM. LOL Truck axles are coming off the frame. Ford and GM sales have plummeted, all because they've invested in electric vehicles, which is stupid and misleading.
