Review on πŸ”§ Dorman 55198 Universal Control Handle by Ashwin Drollinger

Revainrating 1 out of 5

An improperly machined FM thread cannot be tightened without thread slippage.

Cable assembly is OK but the internal thread at the top of the assembly is cut too deep. The nuts must not be tightened as they will simply pop off the threads. The nuts are a correct 7/16" thread with 20 threads per inch and are a close fit to standard male threads, but the female threads on the top of the cable assembly housing are cut too deep to allow the nuts to be tightened without overshooting. Threads Poor production and quality control.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
