I made a portable can crusher using 3D printed CAD parts. It uses a lever solenoid which I also checked. I was concerned that most of the stems sold online have thicker stems and I didn't think this would effectively crush the can, but with the stroke fully adjusted this thing breaks them down to about 3/8" to 1/2" "Inch, which is more than acceptable. Overall, the system works great with the lever and hose I bought from Revain for about $50, and I spend some of my time designing and printing cheap parts.
