Review on πŸ’‘ Dorman 917-781 Crankshaft Position Sensor for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Models - Enhanced SEO by Hugo Caywood

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Hours wasted troubleshooting not working

Installed during timing as later replacement is difficult. The sensor turned out to be a cheap, non-working sensor. I compared it to an original Ford crankshaft sensor and the magnet on it didn't have enough strength to stick to metal like the original sensor did. I had a crank situation and no start. I put the original sensor back in and my truck fired up right away. Replacing the crankshaft position sensor on a 5.4 liter 3-valve engine takes 2 hours. Plus 2 hours troubleshooting. Lessons Learned buy the cheapest buy. One star rating for fast shipping πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. I didn't have time to fix the error right away, so I missed the return deadline. Don't repeat my mistake. Buy a good one!
