Great idea for longer life through more maintenance on my trailer. Like most spring and caliper bolts, they are serrated on the bolt head, meaning they must be pressed in (which is not possible in all positions of a tandem axle trailer) or be made of a much harder material. for driving in with one punch or with normal hand tools. None of them work like a strip of nuts/bolts. Therefore, when assembling, do not attempt to pull the screw slots into the brackets, simply allow them to protrude and tighten appropriately.
