You could say it's not 3m, but it's just as good.
So I've used this to smoke my car's chrome, color chrome - and while it doesn't have the 3M elasticity when heated with a heat gun it stretches and is very pliable and doesn't it do a great job. The only "minus" is that the paper on which the film is glued also has a texture. like the cheap leather texture the foil has when you first put it on. You need to stretch it and work out the texture, but when you do that it's a really good product.
