YOU NEED THIS UNIT! That's all I could ask for. I originally wanted to buy a MagSafe that charges 12, or one that includes an Apple MagSafe charger (and charges 12), but decided I didn't want my phone charging all the time. I have researched carefully. This sticks beautifully to the dash (I left it for 12 hours as recommended), the magnet holds it strong enough for the mighty 12 Pro Max (almost hard to shake off in your hand), and the ball joint is great and holds up it at every angle you install and walk on. Very impressive. I also bought one for my truck. I also ordered a vent mount, when I'm in a rental car or their car or whatever. It also comes in a flat mount version and one or two other options. Comes with a metal plate for non-MagSafe applications, but I didn't need it. It works like it does with any iPhone 12 model or with a MagSafe case like mine. Do that. That's the one!
