I recently started grinding my own spices, such as cardamom, because they're so much fresher. The first time, I used a crank coffee grinder. Huge mistake! While it worked OK, for a long time after, when I ground coffee, it tasted like cardamom.The second time, I used my pepper grinder, figuring the pepper taste would overcome any cardamom residue.Nope. For weeks, every time I used the grinder, I got hints of cardamom. Not what I had planned.I knew I didn't want a plastic grinder for spices and I knew I needed/wanted one that looked pleasant. When I found this one on Best Buy, I knew it was the one destined for my kitchen.It arrived very quickly and is just as adorable and unique as I'd hoped. While I was a bit concerned I wouldn't be able to figure out how to adjust it, the link to the video allowed me to watch it being done, making it so much clearer.I'd ordered the dark silver color and am very happy with the color, appearance and performance of my new kitchen spice grinder.
