Review on Velbon QB 4W Quick Release Platform by Jennifer Garcia

I purchased this item from Mel Pierce Camera (HIGHLY recommended!) for the Ambico V-0542 Tripod which I got cheap. The head felt great and some reviews said it fit her so I took a chance. This plate will NOT fit the V-0542 tripod head without some semi-heavy sanding on the SIDES of the plate. Ambico has straight sides running the length of the bag where this panel is angled. The fit front and back is absolutely perfect, only the sides need some work. Take your time and it will fall off immediately. It took me about 20 minutes with medium grit sandpaper to get it right. Overall it's a solid piece of plastic that has a textured wheel for gripping, as well as a slot for attaching a camera.
