Wow! My birds loved it! I definitely recommend this healthy mix.

This seed mix is amazing! Following the directions, I put 2 tablespoons of Featherglow on some paper towels and my cockatiel immediately jumped out of the cage and started chewing on it. Then I put some of my budgies in a cage and they started trying different flavors and textures. While some birds enjoyed it more than others I can say it was a win! And bird seed mixes are one of the healthiest foods you can feed them, so I definitely recommend buying this mix. For anyone wondering how I made it, 4 tablespoons Featherglow Sprouting Mix in a clean plastic container. Top up with cold tap water until sprouts are submerged. Leave the sprouts for 8-10 hours, then put them in a colander and strain the water. Rinse the sprouts in cold water for 60 seconds. Take 8 tablespoons of water (double the sprout mixture) and bring to a boil. Add sprouts when the water is boiling. When you add the sprouts, the water will stop boiling temporarily. Wait a few minutes for the water to boil again, then reduce the heat. Stir about every minute. After 3-4 minutes I take a spoon to mix the sprouts with and scoop out one of the bean sprouts. I feel it with my fingers and decide if it's "soft" enough. Put the sprouts back in the colander and strain the water. Allow the sprouts to cool in the colander for 10 minutes. I give the sprouts a final rinse (you can never be too careful with the birds lol) and either serve them on a flat surface like I did, or you can partially fill your birds' regular food with it (mix the DO NOT eat sprouts with your birds on a regular basis!) TIP: I do not recommend leaving the sprouts out for more than an hour. Bacteria can start to multiply or insects can start eating the sprouts if you let them sit for too long. Figure out the right amount of sprouting mix your bird(s) will eat and give that amount once a day. You can always make a large batch and store the rest in an airtight container in the fridge. I plan to feed this to my birds for breakfast 4-5 times a week. This food is very useful for birds but should not make up more than 50% of their daily diet. Happy sprouting! 🦜🦜🦜
