
Mac Blu-ray players don't plug and play, but if you have the software, this works great. I bought Blu Ray Player Pro which is free if you can live with the watermark but only $39 for buying lifetime license. It would be nice if Apple provided their own Blu-ray software, but they don't. However, if you just need to play standard DVDs, their Super Drive is plug and play. now i have both
